Fraud Resources: Let’s Fight Fraud Together!

If you have been scammed, the best thing you can do is REPORT IT to IC3: https://www.ic3.gov

Most scams go unreported as people are embarrassed and want to just put it behind them. Even if the amount you may have lost seems small, these bad guys are likely doing the same thing to thousands of people if not more. Help law enforcement catch and punish these fraudsters!

Previous Fraud Alerts

  1. It has come to our attention that some members are receiving phone calls from people purporting to be from ABCO FCU regarding potential fraud on their accounts. The caller ID reflects that it is coming from ABCO and the correct phone number is shown, but it is not from the credit union. ABCO Federal Credit Union will NEVER ask for this type of information! The scammers are then using this information to set up transactions and access to members’ accounts and credit cards.

  2. NEW THREAT: scammers are pretending to be from a merchant (store) and are asking members to key is a code into their phone. DO NOT ENTER ANY CODES - HANG UP AND CALL THE MERCHANT DIRECTLY!
