Your credit report can affect your ability to purchase a home, rent an apartment, buy a car, receive favorable insurance rates, or even get a new job. Further, checking your credit report regularly is a crucial step in protecting yourself from fraud or inaccurate reporting. 

We urge all members to obtain the yearly credit report they are entitled to in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act).

AnnualCreditReport.com provides consumers with the secure means to request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer credit reporting companies. AnnualCreditReport.com is the only source authorized by the Federal Trade Commission for this purpose.

You can also order your free annual credit report by calling 877-322-8228, or by completing the Annual Report Request Form and mailing it to Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

The Federal Trade Commission advises consumers who order their free annual credit reports online to be sure to correctly spell “annualcreditreport.com,” or link to it from ABCO FCU’s website to avoid being misdirected to other websites that offer supposedly free annual credit reports, but only with the purchase of other products.
